What can I make?

Up

One of the common questions asked by many of those that are interested in our franchise opportunity is "How much money can I make?" A very good question, and one that is very difficult to answer. It is like asking the question "How long is a piece of string?" There can be no precise answer, forecast or estimate of what you will earn at any given time in your business development. But there are factors that can make a major impact on your earnings. In this page we try to identify some of the factors and hopefully you can make your own estimate based on how the factors will work with you. However we must look beyond the factors and ultimately view your performance as an accountant would. The balance sheet is the final measurement of success and it will reflect the revenues and expenses, and the all-important, profitability.

Here are some factors that will impact what you can make in revenues. Our information package contains more details and a discussion of these factors.

  • Personal Attitudes

  • Personal Experience and Skills

  • Market Conditions

  • Type of Jobs or Assignments

  • Rates

  • Billable hours versus work hours

  • Quality of Service

  • Advertising and Promotion

  • Network Leads

  • Equipment, and component sales

The following table shows how the number of billable hours and rates can impact your revenue. They serve as a guide only and are a pure statistical extrapolation. Rates will vary by job, average billable hours by week will also vary. This table provides a "what if" scenario for rough estimates. You should make your own estimates based on what you know about yourself and the territory you would like to operate in.

The goal is to maintain a high number of billable hours and a low number of non-billable but productive hours. Weekly revenues will vary based on number of hours worked.

Expense Factors

There are many other expense factors that come into building a business plan. There are many things that can impact the amount you earn. Revenues are only part of a balance sheet that must also include expenses to derive you profit. From your earnings or revenues you must deduct all your operating expenses. Expenses that you will incur include but are not limited to: advertising and marketing, telephones, travel (gas), stationery and postage. Other expenses will be the monthly royalty fee and your contribution to the regional marketing fund. Expenses will vary by your territory and individual approach, and should be part of your budget plan. Your personal income will be drawn from the remaining profit.

Summary

We cannot predict what you will earn and what your profits will be or how soon you will be making the income that you want. It depends very much on your own approach to your business. We will be there to support and advise you, and you will have the benefits of the group to back you up and motivate you. Expect the first few months to start slow and to gradually get better as you build up your customer base.
